Apprentice Pipe Fitter/Welder
Role and Responsibilities:
In addition to learning the full job of the Apprentice Pipe Fitter/Welder, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Installing or upgrading equipment in various field locations
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment
- Ability to travel and adapt to a changing work schedule
- Performing routine maintenance on customers’ equipment
- Documenting installation and repairs
- Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls
- Work in a safe manner and follow customers’ safety requirements
- Learning how to use the required equipment properly under supervision
- Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service during installation
- Maintaining the equipment and stock in the company vehicle
- Written and verbal communication skills to understand issues customers have and to explain technical
information to customers in clear terms - Time-management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule
- Attention to detail to spot issues and complete accurate reports about the repair
- Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field
- Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule; nights, weekends and holidays as required
Journeyman Pipe Fitter/Welder
