Apprentice Pipe Fitter/Welder

Role and Responsibilities:
In addition to learning the full job of the Apprentice Pipe Fitter/Welder, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Installing or upgrading equipment in various field locations
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment
  • Ability to travel and adapt to a changing work schedule
  • Performing routine maintenance on customers’ equipment
  • Documenting installation and repairs
  • Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls
  • Work in a safe manner and follow customers’ safety requirements
  • Learning how to use the required equipment properly under supervision
  • Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service during installation
  • Maintaining the equipment and stock in the company vehicle
  • Written and verbal communication skills to understand issues customers have and to explain technical
    information to customers in clear terms
  • Time-management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule
  • Attention to detail to spot issues and complete accurate reports about the repair
  • Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field
  • Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule; nights, weekends and holidays as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
